This is a basic jointed mouth snaffle with loose rings to allow more movement in the horses mouth.
Loose ring snaffle with a thin mouthpiece for more control, in copper for a warmer, more acceptable feel.
A miniature eggbutt snaffle for small horses and ponies. Fixed rings prevent pinching.
This stainless steel bit is useful when control is an issue - the three rings offer leverage options to increase the severity. The 5 inch and smaller sizes of this bit come with shorter cheeks to ensure the bit remains in proportion.
A thinner mouthpiece can make this bit a little stronger, however, it may be a more comfortable option for a horse with a small mouth. The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.
This bit has a single joint giving a nutcracker action and full cheeks to aid with steering.
The hard rubber used in this pelham allows less movement, but is still thick and gentle. Can be used with double reins or pelham roundings.
Highly recommended for horses that are unsteady in the contact with the bit. Eggbutts are suitable for horses with sensitive corners on their mouths, as they prevent them from being pinched which can happen with loose ring snaffles.
The special effect of these bits is the three different possibilities of attaching the reins. Depending on purpose and education level they enable versatile application possibilities. Different rein options: 1. Effect of a normal loose ring snaffle. 2. Additional gentle pressure on the poll. 3. Additioinal gentle pressure onto tongue and lower jaw.
